Aadhar Card Update: To prevent fake Aadhar, now cards will be made only at Aadhar Center

Important information related to the Aadhar card

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has taken this step to prevent the misuse of Aadhar cards and their benefits to intruders. Now people above five years of age can register for a new Aadhaar card only at select Aadhaar centers. Now from October 1, the new Aadhar registration of age groups for more than 5 years will be done only at select centers across the country.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has issued a memorandum to all the UIDAI service providers, registrars, and related agencies in the country regarding this. DOIT Aadhar OIC Rakesh Kumar Verma says that this decision has been taken due to the fact that the Aadhaar enrollment of the adult ie age group above 18 years is more than 100 percent.

This memorandum has been issued by UIDAI for the security of the country. Under this memorandum, priority has been given to new Aadhaar registration of children in the age group of 0 to 5 years. At the same time, UIDAI is going to make available the facility of registration at selected centers in the district and block level for people of age group above 5 years.

Under the existing rules, a person of any age group could get the registration done at any center for getting a new Aadhar card. But from October 1, this facility will be closed. According to this circular, the work of updation in Aadhar cards will continue at all Aadhaar centers as before. There was also news that from October 1, new Aadhar (registration) cards for more than 5 years of age group would stop making, but this news has been denied. Now, this facility will be available only at select centers.
